Emotional Regulation in Children and Teens
Creating awareness regarding the need for emotion regulation in children and adolescents is a much-needed topic, and this starts by building this awareness with the primary caregivers such as families, schools etc. Emotion regulation is the ability to effectively manage and respond to an emotional experience. While people can occasionally use less than ideal emotion regulation strategies, individuals who regularly experience what feels like overwhelming, intense negative emotions can be much more likely to rely on unhealthy strategies.
